In April I spent 10 days with two other wedding photographers in Miami, the Florida Keys and Charleston SC. Our goal was to create beautiful images in a tropical location and learn a lot about lighting along the way. We photographed 8 models over 7 days and learned quite a bit. I will be posting my favorite photographs for you to enjoy in 6 segments over the next two weeks. Enjoy Part 1.
Michelle is actually not a model (even though you can’t tell by how awesome these photos turned out!) she is one of my wedding clients for 2012. Michelle lives down in Miami and this is actually a photo of her backyard. She actually live is this gorgeous area. This is a running path that encircles the buildings. Michelle was a little nervous about taking photos as a model but with some urging from me she accepted and helped me create one of my favorite shots of the whole trip. Great job Michelle!
This shot was taken on the grounds of a historic mansion. It was the most amazing home I’d ever been to. It’s called Vizcaya and if you are ever in Miami you absolutely must visit the place.
The left photo is of Cindy who did a great job posing as a high school senior. The right side is Cat. She’s a singer who is hoping to make it big in the near future singing jazz and soulful music like Adele. We took some photos to be used for her CD and marketing purposes.
Here’s another of Michelle and one of Nneka. Love the gorgeous buildings and night shots we were able to do down in Miami.
Keep coming back. I’ll be posting more in a couple days!
Awesome shots! Great lighting especially in the night shots! Looking forward to seeing more!
